Just a few fresh updates for you…
The date for the next STOMP THE NARD is Sunday 23rd August 2009
so please mark this in your diaries :).
Also we have taken into consideration some feedback and decided to start the event one hour earlier than usual. So it will be kicking of at 6pm
There will be some Special Guests including “Dj Nino Brown - Australia’s Number #1 Urban Dj” & More!
Stomp will be Hosted by Dj A.N.G & Montaj and will have performances from Cairns Finest Dance Crews like… ThreeSixFive Dance Crew, Stylin Techniques, AMAJ, Allure, Evident Supercrew and plenty more.
For the “Mini” Category the winner of the main battle will win an amazing prize pack presented by Xbox Australia.
This is setting out to be the BIGGEST stomp EVER!. With great prizes and awesome special guests!.
on a final note we have also put together a “PRE PARTY”

Performing will be Dj A.N.G & Dj Nino Brown (Australias Number #1 Urban Dj)
With dance performances from all the best crews from Stomp the Nard. The Preparty is strictly 18+.

“lot gets said about the youth of today.
However, words such as irresponsible, binge-drinking, violent and unmotivated couldn’t be further from the truth when talking about the people behind Cairns’ biggest and best-known urban dance battle, Stomp The Nard.
What started as an idea for a back alley dance competition in 2005, has evolved into an open-air, widely publicised event with about 3500 punters when it was last staged at the Esplanade Skate Park last year.
Created by Angelo Saliba (aka DJ A.N.G. from Evident Entertainment) and Mark “Montaj” Montajes, it features a wide selection of Cairns’ finest dance troops, including ThreeSixFive, Stylin Techniques and the all new AMAJ All Girl crew.
Along with television shows such as So You Think You Can Dance, it has been majorly responsible for the boom in urban dance styles such as breakdancing, krumpping, clowning and hip-hop in the Far North in recent times.
